Never Again

We have been allocating $20/week/car for gas money. Last week I didn’t use mine, but I did this week when I was really really on empty. I took my now $40 out of my envelope that I keep in the glove box of my car and walked in to the gas station. I stood in line and as I was waiting the gentleman two people in front of me was having trouble getting his card to work to pay for gas.

With a sigh of relief it occurred to me that I would never again have that problem.

Cash is King!

I am very proud of you both for taking responsibility and then for taking decisive action. Those and a good dose of patience will get you through. I am proudest of your willingness to work together on the problem. Your family will be stronger for having shared the facts and the solution.

    Love always,
    Granny

I really enjoyed your blog. Sounds like you and the Wife are committed to this thing. That’s the key… along with loads of PATIENCE. My husband and I owed $80k at the beginning of our journey in November 2007 and are down to $35k. It’s a great feeling to get beyond the half-way point and to have officially paid off more than you still owe. I eagerly anticipate the end of the month just to make another snowball payment, but at the same time get frustrated that the end of the month doesn’t come quick enough, months drag on, and we’re still in debt. Like I said, loads of patience. Hang in there!
